The final election results are as follows:
Marie Bricks 51%
Francis David 45%
Elizabeth Fancourt 4%
The election represents the climax of Marie Bricks's popularity rankings; she has consistently risen in the polls since campaigning began in September. The president's handling of various international issues have improved her status in the eyes of voters. Bricks's Cobra response and PBR Supreme Chancellor Brik's visit are only two of her recent successes. This election clearly gives Bricks a mandate to continue with her policy efforts.
Francis David has risen remarkably in the polls as well, increasing from 21 percent in September to 45 percent now, aided by the dropping-out of National Minifig Front candidate Stephen Studsbury. Elizabeth Fancourt, however, consistently sank in the polls, decreasing from 15 percent in September to less than a third of that now. Fancourt struggled with fundraising and attracting supports beyond her liberal base; additionally, Bricks drew many of her supporters away.
